Meet Our Team!
President: Sameeha Siddiqu
Hi, I’m Sameeha Siddiqui the President of Science National Honor Society. Along with SNHS, I’m President of MSA and Vice President of HOSA and a member of NHS. I also attend MCTC for Clinical Rotations. I’ve always had an interest for science, specifically biology and the complex working of the human body. I also really enjoy chemistry and studying the connections between the two subjects. It always amazed me how we can connect the dots between body processes and microscopic changes that occur in our bodies due to chemistry related instances. I am going to major in either public health or biology as pre med majors in order to apply to Med school. Outside of school I enjoy watching movies and reading books! SNHS is a great opportunity to explore different fields of science and understand new concepts through labs and other events. With the help of our supportive officer team and encouraging members, I hope to have a fun, educational and memorable year! |
Vice President: Yui Yamashi
Hey guys, this is Yui, your vice president. As your VP along with Shaunak, I’m excited to welcome you guys into SNHS 23-24. I’ve always been interested in science and how we can learn more about nature through it! I especially like the human anatomy and will be majoring in biology for university. I hope to make SNHS an environment where members can understand more about science related topics while still enjoying the learning process. Aside from SNHS, I lead Japanese Culture Club and an a part of Choir, NSHS, and Asian Culture Club. I also love to draw in my free time. I’m excited to make this year memorable and engaging for all of you!

Hey Guys! My name is Shaunak Kapur and I am one of your Vice-President's this year. I am really excited to be working with and helping you guys! I’ve always been interested in observing and learning new innovations and facts about science in the world around us. A focus area I have in science is Engineering as I love learning about how things work and their designs, but I am also super interested in the environment. I am looking forward to helping create new and interesting labs that highlight unique properties of science through first hand experience. Besides SNHS I am a part of the Boy Scouts, Future Problem Solvers, Technology Students Association, JSA, Robotics (VEX), and Model United Nations. In my freetime I love reading, playing brain games, and watching sports. I hope we have an exciting and unforgettable year!

Secretary: Maryam
Hey guys! My name is Maryam Kausar and I am your SNHS Secretary this year! I’ve always been passionate about science but my interest particularly lies within the medical field. Currently, my main focus within this broad field is biochemistry. In the future I wish to use my passion for this scope of science alongside the knowledge I gain from real-world research to hopefully create a happier, healthier world. I hope to bring this passion with me while making memories with the SNHS community investigating labs, planning service projects, and more. Outside of SNHS, I love watching movies, going on outings with friends and family, and reading books. Feel free to approach me or the other SNHS officers with any questions!

Feel free to reach out for any questions or to share your scientific journey! |
Junior Officer: Dhairya
Hey everyone! I'm Dhairya, and I'm excited to be your junior officer this year! I have always had a passion for science, from conducting labs in my driveway as a child to interning at a lab just this past summer. I’m especially interested in the research and experimentation aspect of computer science and aerospace. As an SNHS Officer, I look forward to getting to know you all better, and I hope to promote a welcoming and supportive environment for all our members. Please feel free to reach out to me or any of our other SNHS Officers if you have any questions or concerns. Let’s have a great year!
Junior Officer: Arjun
Hi y’all, I’m Arjun Baviskar and I’m a junior officer for the 2023-2024 school year. Science is such a vast topic that fascinates me from the structural geology of the mountains I climb to the basic physical processes behind every little machine. I can’t wait to share how these exist in our everyday life. I am passionate about chemistry and physics and the relations between micro and macro scale procedures which I hope to share with SNHS this year. Through real exposure in labs, I hope to uncover people’s curiosity in our world and pique their interest towards a scientific mindset. Besides SNHS, I am part of the Orchestra Officer team, Science Olympiad, Technology Student Association, Jazz Club, and varsity cross country team. I hope to have some fun sharing science with y’all this year. |
Junior Officer: Kayla
Hi everyone! I’m Kayla and I am one of the junior officers this year. I have always been fond of science but from personal experience of how boring textbooks can get, I realized that there are other ways to explore my interest in epidemiology such as watching movies/educational films and joining online discussion forums to learn more from others. The process of giving knowledge a real-life application such as creating medicine in the field of biochem makes the subject a lot more fascinating to learn about. I have found a way to enjoy the process of learning and I hope SNHS acts as a fun application of all the knowledge you guys learn in class!
